EBC's Strategic L&D Evolution with 360Learning & Edflex
In today’s fast-changing world of Learning & Development (L&D), construction leader EBC has been rethinking how it trains and supports its people. To keep pace with evolving needs, EBC teamed up with 360Learning and Edflex to shake up the way learning happens inside the organization.
The Challenges
Like so many organizations, EBC found itself under pressure to do more with less. Their L&D team was working hard to keep pace, but with outdated technology and a workforce spread across offices and construction sites, training often felt like an uphill battle. The reality on the ground was clear:
- Time: Field crews and office staff had very different schedules, making it tough to roll out training that worked for everyone. Learning had to be accessible at any time, anywhere without pulling people away from critical work.
- Engagement: Too often, training risked feeling like a checkbox exercise. Employees needed content that was practical, role-specific, and worth their time if it was going to stick.
- Resources: With a lean L&D team, scaling programs across hundreds of employees wasn’t possible without the right tech and smart partnerships to fill the gaps.
"When it comes to our L&D challenges, it was really, I think, mainly on two different sides. First, on more of a learner side, one of the biggest challenges was time management. We have people working all over in different environments and they're juggling tight schedules on job sites, meaning our training has to be accessible, flexible, respectful of your time without compromising on the quality of what we're deploying. Also we've noticed the push for accessibility, not just in format, but in how relevant and practical the learning feels in their day to day work.” - Jessy Chamberland, Director of Learning and Development, EBC

The Solutions
While EBC’s L&D team is nimble, they punch above their weight and work hard to design smart, reliable systems that support people's growth across the whole business.
The first step in the L&D revamp was to replace outdated technology that wasn’t hitting the mark. After a thorough evaluation, the EBC team landed on two tech tools to support their L&D vision:
- 360Learning became the backbone of EBC’s learning ecosystem as its learning management system (LMS). The LMS streamlined onboarding, made training consistent, and allowed internal experts to co-create content.
- Edflex stepped in to fill the gaps, bringing a huge library of curated content, everything from technical training to soft skills, in formats like podcasts, videos, and interactive modules. That meant the L&D team could focus on strategy while still giving employees plenty of relevant learning options. With half the workforce speaking French and the other half English, EBC was finally able to offer training in employees’ native languages.
“360 provides the structure, the visibility. Edflex offers the depth and diversity of content. Together, it really creates the balanced and flexible learning ecosystem that we wanted.” - Jessy Chamberland, Director of Learning and Development, EBC
The Results
The shift has already made a big difference:
- Collaboration: 62% of authors are now actively contributing content
- Engagement: Learners are spending an average of nearly 3 hours in training, with an impressive 84% completion rate
- Agility: EBC can now roll out training much faster to meet business needs
What’s Next?
EBC isn’t stopping here. They plan to keep aligning culture, business needs, and employee expertise while looking to new tools like AI to help with content creation and long-term planning.
The Takeaway
EBC’s story shows how a mix of smart partnerships and the right platforms can completely reshape learning. By pairing 360Learning’s collaborative approach with Edflex’s rich content library, they’ve built a scalable system that makes training not just accessible, but impactful.
At the core, EBC’s focus stays the same: building a culture where learning is continuous, practical, and built around its people.
